Sharjah Insurance logs AED 4.94 m profit in Q2

Sharjah Insurance Co, listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), has reported its condensed interim financial results for the period ended 30 June 2019.
The company has generated a profit of AED 4.94 million for the second quarter of 2019, versus AED 4.22 million in Q2-18, according to a bourse filing.
Earnings per share (EPS) stood at AED 0.04 in Q2-19, compared to AED 0.03 in the year-ago period.
In the first half of 2019, profits reached AED 9.125 million, down from AED 12.39 million in H1-18.
EPS for H1-19 stood at AED 0.07, as compared to AED 0.09 in the same period last year.
Total assets amounted to AED 318 million at the end of Jun 2019, versus AED 326.20 million as at 31 December 2018.
