Dubai - 40 medical and insurance violations

Dr. Haidar Al Yousef, Director of the Health Funding at the Dubai Health Authority said that the Authority identified 40 violations of clinics and insurance companies since the new health insurance system was implemented from the last 1st of April including a clinic violation at AED 80 thousand since it was repeated for 4 consecutive times. The violations also include submitting the invoices of treatments that were not offered as well as the non-settlement of benefits by insurance companies.
Dr. Youssef confirmed that the Authority will continue its supervision of clinics, medical centers, insurance brokers and insurers, employers, and sponsors in order to ensure full compliance with the health insurance system law and its related laws in order to protect the individuals covered by health insurance in the Emirate.
