Thursday, 04 13 2017, Category: Insurance and Reinsurance, Country: Saudi Arabia
More than 12 million individual workers and their families are under the scope of the unified insurance contract with the implementation of the last phase of the system two days ago (Monday) noting that the fourth phase covers companies in the private sector that have 25 workers or less.
The unified health insurance contract adopted by the Council of Cooperative Health Insurance in the middle of the month of April 2016 and which was implemented in July 2016 compels employers in the private sector to issue a single unified insurance contract for all employees and their families. Therefore, the employer cannot issue more than one insurance policy for his employees and their families. This decision is enforced at all companies of the private sector. Otherwise, there will be penalties and sanctions.
