The Ministry of Health in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia decided not to offer any more free treatment for traffic accident victims. The General Supervisor of the Health Economics requested from the director of health affairs in the regions to calculate the total cost of traffic accident injuries caused by every driver in order for the insurance company to settle the due amount on behalf of the person at fault or charge him directly for the full amount in case he had no insurance based on the traffic report and the percentage of responsibility. The statistics of the Red Crescent obtained by “Al Hayat” show that the number of traffic accidents in the regions of the Kingdom reached 91245 injuries and run over cases reached 6990 cases.
