Abu Dhabi Health Authority announced a set of new regulations on health insurance programs in the Emirate. These amendments came in an effort to raise the efficiency of the sector to meet the current and future needs as these amendments will be immediately executed starting Friday the first of July 2016.
The amendments included both "confidence" program and the "basic document" program. The special amendments on the “confidence” program included 80% coverage of the services provided in private health facilities within Abu Dhabi, with the continuity of full coverage of treatment services in all government health facilities within the Emirate. The "confident" card covers 50% of the costs of treatment outside Abu Dhabi, and in the absence of the service or the treatment in the Emirate, it covers these costs by 100%.
