Health insurance cost increase in Arab region

The cost of health care benefits in the Middle East and North Africa increased at a rate exceeding the international average.
The cost of health care for the employees of companies in the Middle East and Africa region tend to increase due to the high cost of hospitalization services, patient care and medical technology as well as the abuse in the use of services according to a study conducted by Willis Towers Watson the leading company in the field of consulting, brokerage, company solutions.
A report published by Willis Towers Watson in year 2016 entitled “Global Medical Trends Survey” says that health insurance companies expect health care costs to increase in the Middle East and North Africa region by 12.2% this year compared to 12.6% in year 2015 and 10.3 two year ago. This rate is also higher than the world average increase of 9.1% for this year.
