The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has launched an EV Green Charger initiative, which provides a network of electric vehicle chargers across Dubai as part of the Dubai Green Mobile Strategy 2030.
By way of this strategy, the number of electric cars in Dubai increased to 2,473, and hybrid vehicle numbers rose to 6,016 as of February 2021.
DEWA has installed almost 300 charging stations across Dubai, including some in Hatta. EV customers registered under the EV Green Charger initiative can charge their vehicles by scanning a QR code at DEWA’s charging station. Customer cans also use the EV Green Charging card.
