GAIF to organise a webinar on Beirut explosion

The General Arab Insurance Federation (GAIF) is organising a webinar on 30 September 2020 under the theme "the Impact of Beirut Blast on the the Insurance Industry".

The devastating explosion Beirut's port on 4 August 2020 caused considerable damage that insurers will have to partially indemnify.

Discussions will focus on:
• the role of insurance companies
• the sectors most affected by the explosion
• the economic losses
• the insured losses
• the ecological losses
• the impact of the explosion on the businesses

The speakers

• Elie Torbey, Chairman of Lebanon's association of insurance companies,
