Dubai – The profits of insurers increased to AED 559.7 in H1

A study conducted by “Argaam” on the insurance companies listed in the Dubai Financial Market showed that the consolidated profits of 13 listed insurers increased by 2% reaching AED 559.7 million by the end of the first half year 2020 compared to profits of AED 551 million achieved during the same period in year 2019.
Moreover, during the current period 8 companies of the insurance sector increased their profits during the first half of year 2020 including “Dar Takaful”, which increased its profits by 386% reaching AED 5.5 million by the end of the first half of year 2020. It was followed by the “Scandinavian”, “Salama” and “Dubai National”, which respectively increased their profits by 128%, 23% and 9%.
