UAE - A project to provide compulsory health ins. for visitors

The Insurance Authority expected the sector to register a growth of 10% during the current year, noting that it is working in cooperation with the relevant authorities to prepare a project to provide compulsory health insurance for visitors.
During the health insurance conference that started in Dubai yesterday, and lasts for two days, the authority stressed the necessity of continuous development of the legislative and regulatory base for this sector, and enhancing its linkage and integration with technology and innovation in order to provide the best services.
In detail, the Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Insurance Authority, Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, expected that the health insurance sector in the country would witness remarkable growth in light of the continued economic growth, high insurance and health awareness, and the expected large increase in the numbers of visitors and tourists on the sidelines of the state hosting the events of the exhibition « Dubai Expo 2020 ».
Al-Mansouri stressed in the speech delivered on his behalf the Director General of the Insurance Authority, Ibrahim Al-Zaabi, the necessity of continuous development of the legislative and regulatory base for this sector, and enhancing its linkage and integration with technology and innovation in order to provide the best services and products that meet the needs of individuals.
