KSA – Rejected ins. health claims at SAR 2.25 B annually
Tuesday, 11 06 2018, Category: Insurance and Reinsurance, Country: Saudi Arabia
A number of hospitals entered into conflict with some insurance companies due to the rejected insurance claims, which reached SAR 2.25 billion annually compared to annual health insurance premiums of SAR 15.5 billion. Some experts expect the claims rejected by insurance companies to increase with the departure of foreigners and the arrival of Saudis, so the profit margins will decrease. Therefore, insurers will audit claims and increase the number of rejected claims or will ask for discounts as the insured population shifts from foreigners to Saudis.
