Saudi Arabia – 150 firms suspended for not insuring employees

The Council of Cooperative Health Insurance suspended 150 private firms in coordination with the ministry of labor since the beginning of year 2018 as they did not private health insurance for their employees.
The official spokesperson of the council Mr. Yasser Al Maarik said that the private firm that does not pay health insurance premiums on behalf of its employees will have to pay all premiums in addition to financial fines. Such firms can also be prevented from hiring emplyeees.
