The Council of Cooperative Health Insurance will enforce the approved payments to service providers within a maximum period of 45 days starting from the date the claim is received. Moreover, the refused cases and their causes have to be documented. This follows the new decision issued by the Saudi Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah in order to help settle the amounts due to health service providers.
Moreover, “Al Watan” was informed that the council says that the service provider has to submit claims directly to the insurance company or the third party administrator within a maximum period of 45 working days from the date the claim is due. Refused cases have also to be solved within 22 days.
