Following Munich Re and major US insurance companies, European market leader Allianz is now also included scandal insurance in the industry "reputation protection".
The policy covers revenue loss suffered by companies due to damaging crises. Also includes: professional advice for crisis management. "We want to support our customers before, during and after the crisis," says Martin Zschech of Allianz AGCS, who manages the most important business customers in the Munich-based company.
The scandal's fear obviously rises in the wiring around Globus: According to Allianz's annual "risk barometer", every tenth company in 2013 was concerned with "rumor damage". By 2018, it was almost one in eight. The annual survey includes estimates of more than 1 900 risk experts from 80 countries.
