KSA is the largest healthcare sector in the GCC countries as it represents 48% of total gulf government spending in the health sector, so there are many investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia according to a recent report. Health insurance represents 51% of the total market size with 12 million insured persons (20% are Saudis). The Kingdom’s National Transformation Plan 2020 aims to increase private healthcare spending from 25% to 35% and increase health facilities from 40 to 100.
