Artificial intelligence threatens employment in the insurance sector as it decreases the need for labor despite the fact that the sector is the least affected by the advancement of technology as it relies heavily on human judgement.
Insurance officials ruled out that artificial intelligence will replace actuaries and insurance consultants. Therefore, artificial intelligence will focus on insurance sales and contract issuance as well as some professions related to health service providers like hospitals and car agencies.
Moreover, Mr. Saeed Al Muhairi, CEO of United Gulf Insurance Brokers said that that many insurance fields and related jobs rely on human capital, so the use of artificial intelligence is limited because human intelligence will be use despite use of advanced technology.
