Egypt – Insurance sector investments EGP 86bn

Dr. Mohammed Omran, the Chairman of the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority said that the net investments of insurance companies operating in the Egyptian market increased by 41% last year on an annual basis.
Moreover, Dr. Omran clarified that these investments reached EGP 86 billion in 2017 compared to EGP 60 billion in year 2016 according to the “Middle East News Agency”.
Furthermore, Dr. Omran indicated that the total premiums of insurance companies increased to EGP 24 billion by the end of the last month of June 2017 compared to EGP 18.2 billion during the same period in the previous year.
