Saudi Arabia – Drones to monitor traffic accidents

The engineer Hani Dahhan, chief executive officer of the insurance service company Najm revealed that smart drones will be launched in order to monitor traffic accidents starting with the first quarter of year 2018 in the streets that witness a higher number of accidents. The process will start in the city of Riyadh and will extend to other regions, which are congested and have a high frequency of traffic accidents.
Moreover, Mr. Dahhan added in a workshop on road safety held in Dammam yesterday that the next phase will witness the launch of smart drones in congested roads. The drones will take pictures of the affected parties and the site of the accident. Therefore, all transactions will be electronic subsequently and nobody will need to wait for a long period.
