Mr. Yahya Noureddine, chairman of the Bahrain Insurance Association that regroups most of the local insurance companies revealed to “Al Bilad Press” that insurance companies are about to commission a company to prepare a study about the control of traffic accidents by insurers instead of the General Directorate of Traffic Services.
Moreover, Mr. Noureddine said that the study will tackle the details about the approach to treat small accidents that do have penal or legal implications and which are resolved by mutual agreements.
Mr. Noureddine said that these simple accidents represent 90% of total vehicle accidents, which take place in Bahrain, so they should be rather handled by insurance companies.
