Oman – Strengthening policyholders’ protection

Mr. Ahmed Ali Al Mamari, acting general manager - directorate of insurance supervision at the Capital Market Authority said that the insurance marketing regulations adopted by the Authority aim at introducing standards and professionalism that help improve the quality of insurance products in light of the continuous improvement of the diversity of products and in order to meet the needs and requirements of the market.
Moroever, Mr. Al Mamari clarified that this diversity and innovation in insurance products is meeting the increasing demand for insurance. He confirmed that the Authority adopted a manual for the launch of new non-life products under the memo issued on 9 June 2008.
