One of the requirements of practicing medicine in numerous countries is the compulsory medical malpractice insurance contract under the supervision of the syndicate of doctors, which will pay claims in case of medical errors, which often happen. However, the situation is different in Egypt where the idea of medical accountability, which would impose medical malpractice insurance is difficult to adopt since doctors in Egypt have immunity as a tradition, so the physician have a holy service that has not to be threatened or accused even though he might make mistakes as these risks are an intrinsic part of the medical profession.
