The Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain HE Rasheed Mohammed Al Maraj said that the “Central Bank” is studying the issuance of a unified “comprehensive motor insurance” contract as has been the case for the unified third party liability motor contract, which was adopted more than a year ago. It is worth noting that the unified TPL contract helped decrease the number of complaints since it unified standards.
Moreover, he confirmed to the press that this issue is being studied with the Bahrain Insurance Association and related companies in order to set a minimum unified contract for 1st party “comprehensive” motor insurance, which will help develop insurance services in the Kingdom.
