UAE – Insurers should pay ambulance fees

The Insurance Authority said that the insurance company that insures the “at fault” vehicle will have to pay AED 6770 to the Ambulance service provider without waiting for the verdict of the court as long as the transportation operation of the injured or deceased took place on the roads according to instructions issued by the “Authority” yesterday of which “Emarat Al Youm” received a copy.
According to the decision of the board of directors of the Authority No 25 of year 2016, the insurance companies will have to pay AED 6770 to Ambulance service providers for every person affected by bodily injury or death and who is transported to the hospital after the occurrence of an insured motor accident (Under TPL insurance).
