Insurance services and consulting companies confirmed that insurance companies are not liable to indemnify the insured in the motor insurance field in six cases.
They confirmed to “Emarat Alyoum” that these excluded cases include “overburdened vehicle in term of weight, overburdened vehicle in term of volume, or accident of an unlicensed driver, suspension of driving license by court or authorities, effects of drugs and alcohol, accidents in desert regions or outside geographic borders (outside country), and natural catastrophes.
Officials of these companies stressed on the importance of reading the conditions and exclusions of contracts indicating that insurance companies are not responsible if there is not an “additional appendix” to the basic policy that covers these exclusions.
