Wednesday, 07 05 2017, Category: Insurance and Reinsurance, Country: Saudi Arabia
There is a conflict in the statistical figures of two government authorities concerning the dependents of foreign employees in Saudi Arabia. Therefore, there is an increased interest in finding the right numbers as fees will be imposed on Male and Female dependents of expatriate workers starting with the beginning of the current month of July.
The General Authority for Statistics announced that more than 11 million non-Saudi workers are employed in the private sector and they are accompanied by 2.2 million dependents. However, the Council of Cooperative Health Insurance revealed that insurance companies provided health insurance to 2.3 million dependents who accompany foreign workers inside the Kingdom. The resulting difference between the two government authorities is more than 100 thousand dependents.
