Egypt – 164 insurance complaints in 5 months

Mr. Sherif Samy chairman of the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority revealed that the Authority received 164 complaints against insurance companies and insurance funds during the first 5 months of the current year compared to 189 complaints during the past year, which represents a 13% decrease.
Moreover, he added that complaints are concentrated in the property insurance field at 43%, followed by personal insurance at 22%. Finally, complaints against private insurance funds represent 35% of total complaints.
