The Council of Cooperative Health Insurance excluded Female and Male children of a Saudi woman from the compulsory cooperative health insurance whether they are registered in the work contract of the father or the mother. The council clarified that “the exclusion of Male and Female children of a Saudi woman is made under the cooperative insurance system”.
Previously the council excluded non-Saudi Female spouses married to Saudis from the compulsory health insurance system, clarifying “that the non-Saudi female spouse married to a Saudi man has not right to adhere to the cooperative health insurance” indicating that “non-Saudis and their spouses are to be insured on compulsory basis by companies”.
