Non-Saudi wife excluded from compulsory insurance

The Council of Cooperative Health Insurance excluded non-Saudi wives of Saudi citizens from the compulsory cooperative health insurance system. It clarified that “it is compulsory to insure non-Saudis and their wives. However, if the wife of a Saudi citizen is not Saudi, she will not benefit from compulsory insurance and she will be excluded”.
Moreover, the council revealed the details of the visitors’ insurance contract that includes the cost of travel and expenses of a relative with a maximum of SAR 5 thousand during the period of the visit and also includes the benefits of traffic accident injuries with a maximum of SAR 100 thousands. And it has also has a medical coverage with the same limit.
