UAE – AED 40 billion insurance investments

Mr. Ibrahim Obaid Al Zaabi, Director-General of the UAE's Insurance Authority said that his administration realized many advanced achievements in order to develop the insurance sector in the country.
Moreover, he revealed in his speech made on his behalf by Mrs. Abeer Alnaqbi, legal researcher at the Insurance Authority at the workshop organized by the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce & Industry in collaboration with the Insurance Authority at the building of the Fujairah chamber that investments reached AED 40 billion representing all the investments of insurers operating in the local market, whereas premiums reached AED 37 billion last year in the country. Therefore, it is confirmed that the Emirati insurance market includes a large number of insurance specialists in all lines noting that the that the UAE insurance market is the largest GCC and Arab insurance market.
