Saudi Arabia – 32 thousand companies adopt health insurance

The number of companies, which complied with the unified health insurance contract reached approximately 32,304 companies noting that the total number of contracts bought by employers for the third phase of the system reached 8,841 policies. Mr. Yasser Al-Maarik the spokesperson of the Council of Cooperative Health Insurance said that the decision to implement the fourth phase of the unified health insurance system on employers that have less than 25 employees has been implemented on the 10th of the current month of April and it was not delayed as has been reported lately.
He added “we were able to trace the change in the insurance market one the unified health insurance contract was implemented since the council organized all the procedures and actions that protect the policyholders’ rights and uphold the health insurance industry especially by eliminating fake insurance”.
