The General Secretariat of the Council of Cooperative Health Insurance revealed that the total number of unified contracts issued during the past three phases reached 42,231 contracts. The number of insureds as well as their family members reached 11,922,933 individuals who get insurance services through 27 qualified health insurance companies, 9 claims management companies in addition to 4587 health services providers. Mr. Mohammed Al Hussein, Secretary General of the Council of Cooperative Health Insurance (CCHI) said that the unified contract of the employer aims at raising the performance of the health insurance market by eliminating fake insurance and ensuring that the insured obtains all his insurance rights according to the cooperative health insurance law and the executive law. He indicated that the unified employer insurance contract compels the employer to buy one insurance contract that covers all the insureds and their families. Moreover, the preliminary statistics about the implementation of the unified contract proved a high level of efficiency since the number of insurance contracts reduced by 96 percent. Therefore, the number of contracts issued during the past three phases reduced to 42,231 contracts compared to 1,082,984 contracts last year.
