Saudi Arabia – Health Insurance Council monitors 15 violations

The number of health insurance companies, which were sanctioned during last year 2016 reached 14 insurers noting that that the number of related violations reached 15.
Mr Yasser Al-Maarik, spokesman for the Council of Cooperative Health Insurance (CCHI) said to “Makkah” newspaper that the supervisory team of the general secretariat of the council visited during last year 2016 a group of insurance companies and identified during these visits the violations of a number of insurance companies. Therefore, it issued a number of decisions such as suspending the issuance of cooperative health insurance contracts for some insurers.
