Egypt – Government insurers lose 2.5% of their share

The government-owned insurance companies – represented by Misr insurance – lost 2.5% of their market share in the property insurance market in the last financial year 2015/2016.
The official statistics issued by the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority showed that the share of Misr insurance from direct premiums reached 48.3% in year 2015/2016 compared to 50.8% in the previous financial year 2014/2015.
