Egypt – Motor accounts for 95% of property complaints

Mr. Sherif Samy, the chairman of the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority said that the Authority received 46 complaints in the last month of January compared to 37 complaints in the month of January last year, which is a 24% increase. These complaints are related to insurance companies and funds.
The complaints are concentrated in property insurance in both comprehensive motor and compulsory motor insurance with 20 complaints representing 95% of total complaints in property insurance.
