Saudi Arabia – Economic downturn decreases number of insureds

The statistics of the Council of Cooperative Health Insurance revealed that the number of workers who are insured in the private sector along with their families decreased by 6.6 percent during one year, so their number reached 11,804,186 insureds until February 22nd compared to the end of the first quarter of last year when the their number reached 12,642,751 insureds. The statistics showed that the total number of citizens and expatriates who left the health insurance records reached 838,565 persons representing a 6.6% decrease from the previous 12,642,751 insureds.
