Egypt – Study recommends to control price competition

An academic study recommends to control price competition among insurance companies by declining business, which is not technically priced. Moreover, it recommends to reprice some insurance coverages, which have high loss ratios and claim levels especially in the medical and comprehensive motor branches.
The study was prepared by the researcher Aya Saeed lecturer at the Faculty of Commerce in the University of Cairo in order to obtain the master’s level. It emphasized the necessity of conducting additional actuarial studies in the motor comprehensive branch as well as building a database in the motor line.
