Oman – 20 insurers appoint customer service managers

Mr. Ahmed Ali Al-Mamari General Manager of the Directorate of Insurance Supervision at the Capital Market Authority said that 20 insurance companies out of a total of 22 companies operating in the insurance sector did appoint a customer service manager noting that qualified young Omanis assume these new positions. He praised the quick receptive reaction of insurance companies operating in the Sultanate, which appointed a customer service manager at the level of manager of department in order to strengthen the quality of customer service, honor liabilities, and boost quality of service and approve customer satisfaction.
Moreover, Mr. Al-Mamari clarified to “Economic Al Watan” that his follows the issuance of a decision in the last month of November by the Capital Market Authority in which it motivates insurance companies to appoint a customer service manager. This decision of the Authority is based the regulatory guidelines that stress on the importance of imposing a professional code for the insurance sector including the treatment of customer complaints.
