Saudi Arabia – 110 governmental hospitals included at 12 insurers

The ministry of health introduced 110 of its hospitals in the networks of 12 insurance companies in order to provide health services to the insured persons. It mentioned to “Al Yaum” newspaper that the objective of this move is to expand the services to beneficiaries who are insured by these companies whether they are citizens or residents.
The informed source said: the health economics of the ministry is still signing agreements to provide treatment. The signed agreements affect all the health care facilities of the ministry of health, which are approved by the council of cooperative health insurance. There are 110 such facilities, which follow the ministry of health. He indicated that the revenues generated would be spent on the health facilities in order to develop them, improve service quality and on needed overtime hours of the staff.
