Saudi Arabia – Ministry to add all hospitals to insurance

The ministry of health started signing contracts will all insurance companies anticipating the implementation of health insurance on citizens soon. The official spokesperson of the ministry Mr. Mishaal Al Rabian told “Al Madina” newspaper that the agreement will be signed with all insurance companies and it effectively started with a number of companies. Preparations are ongoing in order to complete the program and protect the rights of the ministry and beneficiaries and implement the system on all hospitals without exception. He stressed that service will be offered to citizens in all government hospitals until the insurance system in enacted.
The agreements signed will allow the insurance car holder whether he is Saudi or resident to take advantage of the services provided by government hospitals provided that the ministry will be reimbursed at a later date for services provided by medical cities, hospitals, health centers, and medical labs, which are sponsored by the ministry.
