Saudi Arabia – Agreement between health ministry and insurer

The Saudi Ministry of Health signed a comprehensive agreement with a large health insurance company in order to include some of its health facilities in the insurance network of health providers available to the insured.
According to the “Makkah Newspaper”, the health insurance cardholder whether he is Saudi or resident will be able to take advantage of provided services in governmental hospitals noting that the ministry will be reimbursed later on.
The sources said that the ministry is aiming at signing agreements will all insurance companies in order to introduce its health care providers in the covered insurance network.
