Oman – Health insurance system could be implemented

The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry issued a notice on its “Twitter” account; in which it said that the government is undertaking studies to implement health insurance on employees of the private sector whether they are Omanis or expatriates. The system is likely to be implemented over phases. The first phase will affect the consulting, high ranking and top employees as well as the companies, which have more than 100 workers. The first phase is expected to be launched in the beginning of year 2018. However, the second phase will be applied on companies which have between 50 and 100 workers.
