Bahrain – Insurance demand after exemption from health fees

“Al Ayam” newspaper noted an increase in the demand for insurance. This follows an exemption from health fees granted to companies in the private sector if they obtain health insurance policies in order to provide health care to their employees.
Moreover, the president of the Bahrain Insurance Association, Mr Yahya Noureddine said that the minimum insurance coverage offered by insurers follows the rules set by the ministry of health and include medical checkups, lab and x-ray tests, medicines for treatment outside medical centers according to the list of primary care, maternity care during pregnancy, care after delivery of newborn, health prevention according to the guidelines of the ministry of health, simple surgical procedures at primary medical centers and simple dental treatment including emergency treatment.
