Egypt – Moody’s expects profits of insurers to grow

The credit rating agency Moody’s in a report published on Tuesday said that the gradual improvement of the Egyptian economy will help the profits of insurance companies to grow during the next 12 to 18 months.
Moody’s added in a report published by “Mubasher” that the Egyptian insurance market might be small but it is promising and is one of the fastest growing in the world given that is has an untapped potential.
Additionally, Moody’s expects in its report that the Egyptian insurance sector can take advantage of the infrastructure projects in the country, especially in mining, oil, gas, energy, transport and housing.
