UAE – Health insurance today’s emerging issue

A report published in the Economic issue of the “Alittihad” newspaper last week said that health insurance premiums in the UAE exceeded the threshold of AED 15 billion according to a report published by the British research company “Business Monitor International” and it confirmed that this sector became the largest in the country, taking advantage of compulsory covers.
Frankly, the health insurance sector grew and gained significance but it misunderstood the government objective of extending the health insurance coverage to all citizens and residents. The companies did not understand the design of health insurance benefits set by the country. So they have set prices without constraints. Unfortunately, the national company “Daman” was among the fits to raise prices. Therefore, health insurance became today’s emerging issue.
