Saudi Arabia – Insurance profits increase to SAR 839.7 million in H1

A study conducted by “Argaam” showed that Saudi insurance companies achieved profits before zakat of SAR 839.7 million in the first of half of year 2016 compared to profits before zakat of SAR 323.6 million during the same period of year 2015.
The company “Tawuniya”, which is the largest listed insurer contributed to approximately 36% of total profits before Zakat with profits of SAR 305.4 million during the first half of year 2016. It was followed by “Bupa”, which achieved profits before zakat of SAR 176.9 million by the end of the first half of year 2016 contributing 21% of overall results.
