Property and Liability insurance companies are competing to win the tender of an insurance policy covering transported goods and merchandise through the Egyptian Railway Authority.
Mr. Tarek Sanad general manager of health claims at “Suez Canal Insurance” said that the authority sent an offer to all insurance companies operating in the property and liability field seeking coverage of the merchandise transported through “railways”. The Authority will subsequently designate the insurance company that wins the offer for every transportation of merchandise and will set the technical and financial conditions of the policy, the risks covered and prices.
The Authority also has a plan to increase the amount of transported merchandise in order to increase its financial revenues.
