Saudi Arabia – High authorities request health insurance study

High authorities issued guidelines to study the issue of health insurance in all its organizational, legislative and executive aspects in order to maintain the quality of health and medical services provided to the insured.
The member of the health committee in the Shura Council Dr. Mohsen Al Hazimi said that committees were established to study the issue in order to raise it to the Shura Council for discussion indicating that the council will submit next week a number of questions and inquiries about health services to the minister of health.
He added according to the “Okaz Newspaper” that there are increasing problems about “health” such as a shortage of hospital beds, lack of health practitioners and specialists and the absence of specialized hospitals in some regions.
