Kuwait – Ministry of Health unable to insure retirees
Monday, 04 11 2016, Category: Insurance and Reinsurance, Country: Kuwait
The Ministry of Health faces a large deficit related to the implementation of the health insurance which is scheduled to be provided to civilians from both the government and private sectors and to the military as well given the refusal of the State Audit Bureau to approve the chosen company through the tender offer.
The executive rules of the law were scheduled to be implemented during August 2015 as was promised by health officials and the minister of health Dr Ali Al-Obaidi. The project was to be launched at due date and health insurance cards should have been distributed. However, nothing happened to date.
MP Ahmed Lary said that the parliamentary committee will hold a meeting between concerned parties in order to remove all the obstacle and set the implementation schedule according to an agenda.
