Egypt – 62% of the insured have chronic diseases

Dr. Ehab Abul Magd, chairman of the Egyptian Healthcare Management Society said that 62% of the insured in Egypt have chronic diseases, which led the Society to sign a protocol with “Pharco Pharmaceuticals” in order to secure medicines for chronic diseases at low prices.
Dr. Abul Magd said in press release that it will provide mobile clinics to customers and needy people in collaboration with “Pharco” indicating that the protocol will include the medicines which treat liver, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, heart and pressure.
He indicated that the Society covers the third of the health insured persons in Egypt.
