Insurance prices of Saudi cars highest in Arab region

The prices of compulsory “third party” motor insurance in Saudi Arabia are the highest among 7 Gulf and Arab countries where Saudi prices represent up to the double of other countries according to the statistics completed by “Makkah Newspaper” which identified a small car and followed the insurance prices charged in these countries in order to compare it with KSA.
According to the statistics, the cost of insuring a “Camry” model car in Saudi Arabia is SAR 1,500 annually whereas for the second highest priced country, which is Jordan, it reached SAR 770 for the same car.
Moreover, prices in Egypt reached about SAR 700, followed by UAE at SAR 650, and Bahrain at SAR 600. Furthermore, prices in Qatar reached SAR 412. Prices in Lebanon and Kuwait were the lowest in the Middle East where insurance fees reached respectively SAR 300 and SAR 247.
